Tears of a Fallen Hero

RTA: Favorite artist(s) (not yourself)?

TOAFH: We have different favorites but here is some:

Randy, Millencolin, Refused, Architects, 30 seconds to mars, Anberlin

RTA: What was the story in forming the band?

TOAFH: We had a former band called Hero in Action, we quit playing together around 2009. All of us got kids and all that. Then when the kids grew older and we got more time we started to write songs for fun and it turned out pretty good. Decided to take a new name since our former bass player didn’t want to join us. So, Tears of a Fallen Hero is version 2.0 of Hero in Action.

RTA: What is the inspiration in your music?

TOAFH: Bands (including the bands we named earlier), things we see and hear every day. It can be love, war, violence, documentaries, environmental issues, happiness or anything else from the news. People in general gives us inspiration.

RTA: Favorite movie(s)?

TOAFH: Wow, hard. Seven is a great one. Series is what I watch mostly these days. At the moment I watch Peaky blinders (better late than ever…haha)

Tears of a Fallen Hero

RTA: Last album/EP/single release?

TOAFH: We’ve released 4 songs so far from our upcoming debut album “Save us from ourselves”. The latest release is called “Further than I can”. This song is more of a pop-punk song, and the other songs released so far sounds a bit different. But still, we have our sound on all of them.

RTA: Any upcoming music releases? When?

TOAFH: There will be one more single out before the album drops. We haven’t set the date yet, but the plan is late August or early September. The plan is to release the album early October. But it depends of when we will have the vinyl ready (long waiting time these days). We will release the vinyl via Wrecking Crew Records.

RTA: Upcoming shows/tours for the next year?

TOAFH: The plan is to do a release party in Gothenburg in October and we’ll also play some songs at a charity event in our hometown Kungsbacka at a big Theater.

RTA: What is a venue you always wanted to perform in? Why?

TOAFH: We don’t really have any favorite, but Wembley stadium or Madison square garden would be nice (haha)

RTA: What artist(s) would you want to tour with, big or small?

TOAFH: Anberlin would be fun since we like them so much, but there are sooooo many great bands out there we would love to hit the road with.

RTA: Dogs or cats?

TOAFH: Dogs

RTA: One story youโ€™d like to share about the band?

TOAFH: Annoying answer, cause we can’t tell you the whole story but…The album we’re about to release was about to be released by one of the labels of our dreams, but it never happened cause of the covid 19 situation. That sux! Unfortunately, we can’t tell you the name of the label ๐Ÿ™ But we’re really happy about teaming up with Wrecking Crew Records instead.

RTA: What is the song of yours that means the most to you?

TOAFH: I think it is different depending on who you ask in the band. But for me I think it is “A hymn for the broken” cause it was that riff/song that made us come together as a band again.

RTA: What would be some advice youโ€™d want to tell startup artists just entering the music industry?

TOAFH: To have fun, that’s the most important thing. And also, to practice a lot!

RTA: What was your most memorable performance?

TOAFH: I think it was in the beginning we played at a big venue and the crowd sang along almost all the time, even if we were really new as a band. It gave us confidence.

RTA: Awesome you guysโ€™ Rock! Thanks for taking the time to be a part of our, โ€œU Rock Weekโ€. I know of a few bands who share a similar beginning. Glad to hear you kept the dream alive. Life always has a way of throwing out detours, but you guys managed to keep on rockinโ€™ through it all. I guess the saying is true as long as you donโ€™t give up, โ€œA singer will always find a song to sing.โ€ We look forward to hearing more from you and best of luck with your Album release please keep us posted on any news youโ€™d like to share. Rock on!
