Song review: Shallowpoint โ Determined Angels
This powerhouse anthem to those who dare to dream, kicks off with the ferocity of a dragster. With its catchy synth part reminiscent of such bands as Rammstein, and Korn, “Determined Angels” delivers with no apologies. The rhythm section then bursts out of the gate with a pump your fist in the air energy youโd come to expect from an A-list band like Shallowpoint. Lyrically, this song delivers an inspiring message of determination that will have you reaching for the stars. The tagline, โNever let go of your dreams!โ gives you that push youโve been needing to get over that hill. So, if youโve ever felt like giving up, this is your fight song.
Song review: Shallowpoint โ Fractured
Shallowpointโs “Fractured”, off their EP of the same title, is as metal as it comes. You can feel the passion in every beat, and hear it in every word. Musically, this song grabs you by the throat and gets in your face. With those earthmoving drums and pumping guitar and bass combo, “Fractured” delivers a war cry like no other. Production value on this, and all of Shallowpointโs music for that matter, is above reproach. Lyrically, “Fractured” tells a familiar tale of betrayal and disappointment in a confidence misplaced, which in this humble manโs opinion, is par for the course in life. We all really take a risk in whom we give our trust, but thatโs life, one risk after another. However, without risk, the world would be a dull place to live in.
