Artist review: Tears of a Fallen Hero

Among Sweden’s top exports such as automotive, iron, mineral fuels, and medical supplies, Tears of a Fallen Hero is at the top of the list. This high energy pop-punk band embodies the afore mentioned exports in that, like their automotive exports, they have the ability to transport you to another place.

Like their iron and mineral export their hard rock, pop-punk style reminiscent of Switchfoot, The Killers, and SR 71 carries the ROCK banner loud and proud. They say that music has the charms to soothe a savage beast, and just like Swedenโ€™s medical exports, Tears of a Fallen Hero has a way of uplifting your spirits. After all, a merry heart does good like a medicine, right? So, if youโ€™re feeling down, Tears of a Fallen Hero has just what the doctor ordered. If it doesnโ€™t help, turn up the dosage music lovers.

Song review: Tears of a Fallen Hero โ€“ A Hymn For the Broken

This song hits the ground running with its pounding guitars and artillery barrage drumming. Reminiscent of My Chemical Romance, Black Veil Brides, and The All-American Rejects. The aggressive rhythm section helps propel the vocal with precision. The vocals come in with a serene tonal plea in its delivery, while the background vocals during the break, are a sharp contrast with their Gregorian style chant.

This song has an energy that is infectious. I love the tagline at the end underneath the main vocal as well. Very well arranged, if I do say so myself. Overall, this is a band that knows where itโ€™s going, and pulls you along for the ride. ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค˜

Song review: Tears of a Fallen Hero โ€“ Halo

Halo has an inspiring melodic vocal arrangement that brings to mind the vocal styles of Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, and Patrick Stumph of Fall Out Boy. The underlining theme, which shows a grateful heart for that one person who stands as a guiding light, is a beautiful one. We all have that one โ€œHaloโ€ in our lives.

Musically, this song doesnโ€™t disappoint either with that metronome hi hat swish, which guides the pounding layered guitars forward. Donโ€™t think we didnโ€™t notice fellas. The guitar solo at the end signs, seals, and delivers this heart felt thank you card as the fade out carries our hearts with it. This song is an energetic explosion of music, that will have you singing along.
