What was the story in forming the band?
Chiliocosm: Cousins who jammed in the garage out of boredom when our moms would drag us to their Filipino soap opera marathons at each other’s houses. We had totally different influences but compromised and blended our sounds together, eventually wrote songs. Started playing open mics, then won a battle of the bands competition, that’s where we started to believe in ourselves.
RTA: Boredom? Frank from IT is addicted to Ang Probinsyano, but Marie from Accounting says Marimar was cut down before its prime. Did you even give them a chance? Honestly though, your blended sound is perfect!
What is the inspiration in your music?
Chiliocosm: To write what we hear in our heads, to capture feelings we can’t seem to find in other music, to document our growth and stories so others can learn from them.
RTA: If it were up to us, we’d just communicate solely through songs since we are bad with the talking thing…which is probably why we can’t get dates.

Chiliocosm: Newest single “Expectations” (Editor’s note: “Diamond Cutter”, single 2022 currently as of this post)
Any upcoming music releases? When?
Chiliocosm: We will be releasing the soundtrack for the Telus documentary “Small Town Strength” this year and our debut album “(un)orthodox” by the end of the year.
RTA: Can’t wait for the album! Now we have something to look forward to since the “we can’t get dates” thing as mentioned before.
Upcoming shows/tours for the next year?
Chiliocosm: No upcoming show at the moment because of the Rona and change of artist lined up but as soon as everything opens up, we will be playing everywhere our Chevy Equinox will take us.
RTA: Sweet! Well good luck in lining shows up and keep us posted. But really, how many places are in a 5 block radius that an Equinox is rated for?
What is a venue you always wanted to perform in?
Chiliocosm: Honestly it would be a dream to be a performing artist at a “Wrestlemania”. Whatever the stadium is!
Why? Chris is a huge wrestling nerd, it’s what exposed him to this music.
RTA: We have a call into Vince McMahon, but his agent won’t return our call. It might be that whole “Monday Night RAW and Pepsi Center doubled booked” fiasco here in Colorado. Vince, we had nothing to do with that!
What artist would you want to open for you, big or small?
Chiliocosm: For us? We should be the openers haha, would love to share the stage with Green Day/Blink 182/Belmont/Sum 41/Billy Talent/Kenny Hoopla
RTA: Modest, we love it! Ok then, baby steps. Which one of those bands want a great opening act? Act now before Chiliocosm is booked solid!

Romer – Neither…..Lions

RTA: Damn, why didn’t we think of lions, who cares about house cats?
One story you’d like to share about the band?
Romer – We opened for Sublime With Rome, Simple Plan, Pop Evil, but the best was when The Glorious Sons invited us onto their tour bus and we smoked up with them, (my very first time!)
Chris- we played a dive bar in Calgary , I put a microwave on stage, put a thawed pizza pop in for 6 minutes, thing was burnt black and it started to light up, we called it pyro
RTA: Those are some pretty sweet names, Sherry from the front office made a fan girl squeal on that one. Also, you can call Jerry from Shipping a pyro since he sadly microwaves his pizza every day at lunch (his life really is that boring).
What is the song of yours that means the most to you?
Romer – Fight or Flight is the song listened to when i’m uninspired, tired or need a kick of energy
Chris – Fractals, it’s not out yet (sooon) but i stepped out of my comfort zone and wrote a love song thats still heavy and punk, it made my girlfriend cry
RTA: We love Fight or Flight as well. When would we expect Fractals? We loving making women cry…wait, that doesn’t sound right. Happy tears, happy tears!
